Mike Melinoe Takes Us Over The “Highways” with New Single

A mix between “Caroline” and Danny Brown, indie artist Mike Melinoe’s newest track, “Highways,” is incredibly trippy. That’s what helps to keep me intrigued with this short loosie: its relentless trip. It doesn’t even fit a traditional flow, opting more to go along the abstract spoken word route while talking about life, drugs, and everything in between. While not as strong as his recently-released mixtape Caveman (chalk that up to the length more than the quality of the track; it doesn’t get the proper time to unfurl), it’s still a dope little drug-addled track. Check it out below and, if you’re feeling this one, be on the lookout for more music from the Detroit native in the coming year.
