Toronto Supergroup The Sorority Celebrate Women with Remake of “Ladies Night”

Although it’s Women’s History Month, this week, we had the chance to celebrate International Women’s Day. I spent my day working, followed by attending a show with Toronto supergroup, The Sorority.

Made up of four women, the group followed up their 2016 IWD cypher with the release of a “Ladies Night” remake, not only to celebrate the day, but also the 20 years the massive anthem has been out. The best part? From producing the track to directing and editing the video, this entire production was done by women, for women. Special appearances by original Bad Gyal, and the first Canadian MC to ever be signed to an American record label, Michie Mee.
