It’s just been announced that the G.O.O.D. Music label is taking their acts to SXSW this week, specifically March 12th around 8PM local time over at Brazos Hall. We’ll keep you updated as the lineup comes in, although it appears that Big Sean and Kanye are definitely set to perform.
As we’ve been vocalizing on our Twitter, and Boi-1da through his personal account, one of the biggest showcases to head down to SXSW this year is the Toronto vs. Texas Producer Battle. Put on by Toronto’s Beat Academy and Houston’s Space City Beat Battle, the ‘Champion Sound’ showcase will take place March 13th, 2014, where two teams will battle it out for the title.
While the Texas Team will be coached by S1, who’s production credits include Jay Z, Beyonce and Kanye West, the Toronto team will be coached by none other than Boi-1da himself. Joining Boi-1da on the 416 Squad is Rich Kidd, Chef Byer, Wondagirl, Nick Nikon, Superville, 2oolman, DZL and C-Sharp, all of who has made some noise in this city over the course of their careers.
