KTV chats with lifestyle/fashion/cultural blogger Marcus Troy (@MarcusTroy) during NYC’s Project 2012.
Marcus Troy discusses the evolution of the famed tradeshow, where attendees can buy a pair of just made shoes (in the video we see a craftsman creating a pair), get a haircut, purchase newly made fashion forward apparel, plus much more.
The most intriguing portion of the video is The Blogger Project, which Marcus Troy curated. The Blogger Project invited top fashion and lifestyle content publishers to live blog Project 2012. Within The Blogger Projects’ space, bloggers were allowed to interact with the designers and brands, use a photo space to take shots and product spots of the event, plus more. Marcus Troy also takes about the importance of bloggers not being afraid of change and experimentation.

VH1 aired their “Divas Celebrate Soul” concert last night, which was taped at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. The clip above shows Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, and Kelly Clarkson opening the show with The Supremes’ track “You Keep Me Hangin’ On.”
Erykah Badu, Chaka Kahn, Estelle, and Boyz II Men were among the other performers of the night. The concert ended with a tribute to the late Amy Winehouse, introduced by Nas: “I’m here to honor a woman who had enough soul to last a lifetime. I wish she was here tonight, but like smoke, Amy Winehouse is still in the air lingering around all of us, and she’ll be here for a long time to come.”
Shoutout Yardie for the video.
