“I don’t just rap man, I’m an artist,” says Cozz, the South Central LA rapper, who recently signed to J Cole’s Dreamville label this past summer. Sitting in a red chair in Russell Simmons’ plush All Def Digital offices, much the way a king sits in a throne, Cozz is a far cry from the struggles he faced growing up in a gang-affiliated neighborhood. MMG affiliate Young Star is buzzing from the release of DJ E-Feezy’s “Sex You Up” single, which also came with features from Trina and Plies. Returning to continue to the hot streak, Star delivers crispy optics for “Look At Me.” The Oklahoma rep combines a catchy beat with his speedy flow for one that will keep everyone rocking.
Chris Brown delivers his first visuals of the new year for the track “Autumn Leaves,” off his latest album “X.” The video features Chris’ girlfriend Karrueche, and although the track features Kendrick Lamar, he is absent from the video.
The 57th Grammy Awards is approaching on February 8th. The anticipation is building as to who will be going home with awards. And although we’ll just have to wait and see who the night’s winners will bring, the performance list has just been announced and that will suffice.
Usher, Common, Pharrell, John Legend and Sam Smith are all set to perform on the Grammys stage. Already-confirmed performers include Madonna, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Miranda Lambert, AC/DC, and Eric Church.
And to put the icing on the cake, it has also just been announced that LL Cool J will be hosting the Grammys for the fourth year in a row.
