“[Pluto] was a part of my life I didn’t want to tell yet,” the rapper says. “I didn’t want people to know everything about me. How About Some...Mood Muzik? (Opinion)

Ok, a forewarning. This may get a bit NSFW. My apologies in advance. Now that my disclaimer’s out the way, I’m a young ‘black’ male. I enjoy video games, sports, and hip-hop, and if I didn’t, this would be the wrong spot for me. Something else I enjoy, however, is the sweet caress of a significant other when we’re, for the lack of a better term, both in the mood. Usually, that occurs in silence that turns into raucous awesomeness sure to let the neighbors know my name. But, there are times that I’ll turn on some tuneage to get into the mood for love. So, without further ado, check these tracks sure to light a fire for you and yours, even if some wouldn’t initially seem like it. (more…)

Audio: SuGar Love Me x Draped Up (The ClubCasa Chamber Orchestra Mix)

While surfing the blog spheres I came across this hidden gem by a French producer who goes by the name SuGar. It’s rare that I replay things right away but this was just that good. It starts off slow, then gets flipped all of a sudden. The whole orchestra element touch makes this gem that much more incredible to listen to. Enjoy!

This track is a bit of a remix inception so ima break it down for you here. It all started with Lil Wayne’s “Love Me” feat. Drake & Future, which was then adapted (almost to the point of being unrecognizable!) by sly5thave, a Brooklyn jazz musician and producer (who has some incredible other jazz covers worth checking out), which also features The ClubCasa, a Brooklyn-based music collective. Then finally, SuGar got ahold of that, spun a little trap on that ish and sprinkled it with someBun B “Draped Up” rhymes and voilà! You’ve got this dirty south, brassy trap joint that’s simply one of a kind.
